  • Switch on your windows device and go to the Chrome extensions tab
  • Then download Google Docs offline and login to your Google account
  • Next, navigate towards the My Drive section and click on settings icon
  • Now open the general settings that are available on the left side
  • After that click on the offline edit and sync for the Google docs, slides, sheets, etc.
  • Then hit the done button and you can continue to edit the Google doc in offline mode
  • Hereafter you have to download and install the Google Driver backup & sync
  • Then sign in to your Google account and tick mark on the Sync My Drive box

On iOS and android offline mode Google drive access

  • Unlock your device and make sure that is it connected to the internet
  • Then open Google Drive and choose the files for the offline editing
  • Tap on the vertical dots to open the files list and then choose to use in offline mode
  • Hereafter, turn off the internet connection of your device and open Google Drive again
  • Then you have to hit the hamburger icon from the left corner on the menu
  • Now select offline mode and the list of files under it will appear on the screen
  • Tap on the offline button for recent files to view on Google Drive through an offline method
  • Turn off the Chrome extension:
  • This is the next step that you can take. You can click on customize and then tap on control Google Chrome so that you can open the browser menu.

You have to go for selecting more extensions and tools so that you can open a tab. Then, you need to turn off or remove the extension except for the Google docs offline extension. You have to tap on the toggle button on your extension so that you can turn them off.So, these are the steps that you are supposed to take to fix the issue of Google drive offline.
